Peter und Irene Ludwig Stiftung
Voices
In a wide-ranging project the Ludwig Foundation is currently researching the genesis of the Collection, the specific development of the interests of the two collectors, and the evolution of the Ludwig Foundation itself. Headed by Regina Wyrwoll, the project is compiling an information archive based on oral history sources. The interviews with contemporaries alone provide an indispensable basis for a history of the Collection and Foundation yet to be written. Their profile is broad, ranging from museum directors, gallery owners, artists and friends through to staff and long-standing colleagues. In a richly-faceted tableau they help to trace developments in art since the 1950s and thus add a multi-perspectival approach to the one dimensionality of many studies.
